Why You Should Watch SCANDAL This Election

If you didn't already know, Scandal is a popular ABC drama based around Kerry Washington's character, Olivia Pope, and her firm Olivia Pope and Associates. Pope is a Washington D.C. based "fixer", meaning she takes a problem that could or already has turned into a national scandal and she fixes it! The show is widely fast-paced and the characters are all well-played. Because the show takes place in D.C., the President is a center piece for the show, as well. Pope and associates deals with all sorts of White House scandal, including one that Pope herself in in the center of. The show is currently in their fifth season and in my opinion, the show has only gotten jucier.

I am sure you are wondering, why the big deal? Well isn't it obvious? Right now we are in the middle of getting ready to announce who will run for Republican and Democratic President of the United States. I have to remind myself and all of you that Scandal is just a television show and it is NOT REAL! However, that being said, it touches on real concerns about government and exposes them for all viewers to see. When watching this show please take everything you see with a grain of salt, but also remember how important it is when making a decision such as who our next President can be! This show really puts that decision into perspective and it motivates one to care about American politics, becasue at the end of the day it really does matter!
